2024 Volkswagen Atlas Execline

This 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Execline is about as well equipped as an Atlas gets. It gives you three rows of seating and plenty of cargo room, but the Execline trim adds the comfort and technology that make it feel quite a bit different from a basic family SUV. For 2024, Volkswagen gave the Atlas an updated 2.0L turbocharged TSI engine producing 269 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. There's plenty of power for highway passing and road trips, while the AWD system is a nice thing to have once the snow starts flying. The Execline is the top trim, and that's really what makes this one worth talking about. Inside you get leather seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, power front seats with driver memory, three-zone climate control, Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. The large panoramic sunroof also opens up the cabin and is great for passengers in the second and third rows. You also get some really useful equipment outside, including a hands-free power liftgate and an Area View 360-degree camera system. On a vehicle the size of an Atlas, being able to see around the whole SUV when you're backing into a spot or squeezing into a tight parking lot is something you'll actually use. There's a strong list of safety equipment as well, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Travel Assist, Lane Assist, Front Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Park Distance Control, and Emergency Assist. What I like about the Atlas is that the third row is actually useful, and when you don't need all the seats there's a ton of room for hockey bags, groceries, luggage, or whatever else you're hauling around. With only 30,344 km, 4MOTION AWD, and the fully loaded Execline trim, this is a really nice setup.
