Automotive Dealership Detailer

Full-time

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Auto Detailer at our Orillia location.

Job Requirements

  • A vehicle detailer must be highly organized and energetic, have an outgoing personality and will be comfortable with people browsing the dealership’s lot.
  • Detailers must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and an ability to operate a standard shift .
  • People working within the automotive retail industry often have to work extended hours, evenings and weekends to achieve their goals.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Checking new cars off truck from factory.
  • Detailing used vehicles for lot.
  • Detailing showroom cars.
  • Detailing New & Used for customer delivery.
  • Wash, Vacuuming, waxing, buffing, shampooing.
  • Lot maintenance, pulling weeds, cutting grass, snow removal.
  • Keeping shop area clean.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Back up as Service Washer when needed
  • Heavy lifting sometimes required.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • Previous Experience an asset
  • Enthusiasm and leadership qualities
  • Willingness to follow process
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Service Wash Attendant

Full-time
Salary: $14.00 to $15.00 /hour

  • Some detailing of new & used vehicles for lot.
  • Wash, Vacuuming, shampooing.

  • Heavy lifting sometimes required.

Service Technician

Job Purpose

Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles in accordance with the Brand and Leavens standards. Promote and attain Leavens standards for superior workmanship.

Job Duties:

  • Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with the manufacturer and Leavens standards.
  • Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.
  • Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor or Shop Foreman.
  • Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
  • Notify Service Advisor or Shop Foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised.
  • Clearly and accurately document all work performed.
  • Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.
  • Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by the manufacturer or Leavens. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Follow warranty material disposition procedures. Save and tag parts of the job if requested by the customer.
  • Understand and follow federal, provincial and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of customer cars and work areas.
  • Account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Meet all requirements of provincial and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection.
  • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Technically knowledgeable, experienced, or trainable on product line
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • High school or equivalent
  • Technical certification required

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Able to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Sitting at a desk, standing and walking.
  • Overtime as required.
